Garver Mill and the Press!

We were so excited to join the Garver Feed Mill community by bringing our little trailer to the patio on Thursdays and Fridays. And our sales certainly increased for the first Thursday and Friday. After the first week, I decided that the Far Breton Bakery staff needs, as well as peak Garver times, would be better served by moving over to Fridays and Saturdays. The second week went even better! I had a confident blueprint for where sales were anticipated to go, and what our team needed to do to meet those metrics.....

....And then we did a press release. Which turned into a media THING. 😮😮😮

Last weekend was the biggest weekend that we have ever, ever had. Folks were lined UP. Buying bags on bags on bags of pastries! We sold out early both Saturday at Garver, and again on Sunday at the Northside Farmers Market. I just want to thank you again. We couldn't do this without you, and all of the word of mouth advertising, and your overall kindness and continued, loyal patronage. You are the best customer we could have asked for!! Thanks for being you.

So now that the team has had a few days of rest and gotten the trailer all cleaned up again - we are gearing up for a big, big weekend. Weather is supposed to be gorgeous through midday Sunday. We are going to attempt to increase over last weekend's production so that we have enough to last through Sunday! And I'm adding an extra day for pickup at FEED Kitchen: Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to noon. starting next week.

Here's our new schedule:

Thursdays: Pickup at FEED Kitchen 8:30 a.m. to noon

Fridays: Garver Mill Patio 8:30 a.m. to noon

Saturdays: Garver Mill Pation 8:30 a.m. to noon

Sundays: Northside Farmers Market 8:30 a.m. to noon

Also, don't forget to register for the upcoming class series; Pastry Chef Workshop and European Cookie Class, held in October and November respectively. Spots are going fast, so make sure to sign up as soon as possible.

The next blog will be information about registering for a crowdfunding project through Indiegogo to help raise down payment funds to help finance a kitchen for Far Breton Bakery! We will be looking to raise $30K towards a $100K equipment loan through Heartland Credit Union. Make sure to click the link to enter your email so you get the crowdfunding notification if you are so inclined.

Thanks again, and look forward to seeing you soon!

Cheers, Marie & the team of Far Breton Bakery
